Anita will take you on a musical journey from the 1950's where women began to storm the Country charts with a new wave of story telling songs to the present day where country music has crossed over into the mainstream popular music charts.
With a love of country music started at a very young age, her parents performed in Country Sounds, a popular 1970's country band and she travelled with them to many festivals and shows and knew all the songs by heart.
An experienced and professional artist, Anita has been on the singing circuit both in the UK and internationally for 15 years. Working as a solo artist, fronting a 4 piece corporate band, and been half of many duos.
Her "Smoky Vocals" suit country songs perfectly with an amazingly expressive voice and the ability to interpret the lyrics both softly and deliver the powerful notes with ease.
Performing against a star curtain with sophisticated lighting, the scene is set for a nostalgic night of great country hits. Authentic costumes ranging from the traditional Hill-billy Cowgirl look of the 1950's to the more Rocky leather tasselled trousers and Stetsons galore!!! Also playing guitar on some numbers through out the evening, Anita aims to portray as many of these singer song writers as authentically as possible.
Involving the crowd as much as possible during the show, she is always on the look out for a potential Kenny Rogers or Johnny Cash to duet with her!!!
